25 weeks- Month 6!

So here we are at 25 weeks!! We had quite an interesting week/weekend- We went to Long Island on Thursday night through Sunday night...We enjoyed ourselves a lot but it was sad to see Jill & Mark go back to Costa Rica!! A good thing comes from this sad departure though... the next time we are all together the peanut will be here with us!!
We stayed with my mom in Orient during the nights we were there and I spent a lot of time with my mom, talking and laying in bed- it was so nice to spend quality time with her. Lucas spent most of his time with the boys (Willie, Harley, Tucker and Zack) as usual and had a bunch of fun! On Saturday we went to the annual end-of-summer party hosted by the Orient Fire Department! It was so much fun! Free food, free alcohol ( for Lucas, in which he took advantage of ;-) ), and a great band called South Bound. We all ate, laughed and danced until about 10pm (which is late for me haha) and then headed back to my moms house.

Sunday we spent the day at Meeting house creek inn restaurant where my mom, my sister Laura, her niece Kendra, my aunt Katherine and mom-in-law Jill met up for my mini-shower which ended up being more than mini!! The restaurant had a brunch buffet set up with tons of food and it was all you can eat!! They had everything from bagels to turkey and stuffing to tapioka pudding to cake for dessert!
As you will see from the pictures I am posting, it was much bigger than a mini-shower- We got tons of clothes, bibs, booties, onsies, hairbows, blankets and much more!! I would just like to say again Thank you for the shower!!! It was beautiful and I had such a great time!
So since I have so many pictures to post Ill start with what the peanut is up to!

Your Pregnancy: Week 25

Got a dark line running down your belly? That's your linea nigra, and it's totally normal. Pregnancy hormones might also be making your complexion a little spotty. Switching to oil-free, water-based, noncomedogenic makeup should help clear things up.

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

The peanuts first pair of shoes! How precious!!

Kaila taught me how to start a blanket yesterday so I am crocheting the peanuts first home made blanky!! Look at how far I got in one day!! :) Yay!

My mum from Mudder II!! Isn't it pretty?!!

Okay so I will be posting the pictures from the shower later-
However here are this weeks belly pics!!

It looks like a watermelon!! and you can now spot the linea negra!!

Well thats all for now!! Enjoy and I'll see you all next week!

24 weeks today

So- I am 24 weeks and HUGE or at least I feel huge. The baby has officially run out of room in my belly so I think the only place it has room to grow is out... She feels very big and rounded out now- She still kicks like a crazy person, but its more forced now! I can tell when she has the hiccups and when she rolls over... in fact when I woke up this morning I put my hand on my belly and all I felt was head- I felt like I had an alien inside of me!! Her head feels huge- and for those of you who know Lucas.. well I dont need to say the rest!! :)
So despite me being sick since thursday, Lucas and I went with Kaila and Cory to The New York State sheep and wool festival in Rhinebeck. The ride for us was about 45 minutes from home so I got to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage! There were quite a few activities there- We chose to go to "Pumpkin Chuckin'", A demonstration of a Border collie sheep herder, we saw a sheep judging which was interesting and made me smile because all you heard was the sheep bahing :) - Overall we had a great time and walked A LOT!
Heres a few pics for you all to enjoy too ( I wish you could actually experience the beauty as I did, Pictures dont do it justice!)

So as some of you may know I also went to the Drs yesterday. I was worried about all of the pressure I had been feeling when going from sitting to standing- It wouldn't have bothered me except for the fact that it had gone on for a good two weeks and I just couldn't get used to it.
They told me to come in and everything turned out perfect, she just said that some people carry really low- in her words "Get used to it because it will only get worse!" Haha I even got to hear the peanuts heart beat- it was perfect at 148bpm & My blood pressure was perfect too! They weigh you whenever you go in and I think the last time I posted my weight I was 147?
Well Now im .....ready for this??!! 151lbs! I have officially gained a total of 25lbs!
Well thats all I have to report this week- Heres some info about the peanut and this weeks belly pics- I have bonus pics because I took some myself and then Lucas took some fully body ones for me too!

Your Baby's Growth

Your baby is approximately 1 1/4 pounds and is 8"-10" in length. This is an active time, with lots of movement going on. With a handheld Fetal Doppler, your healthcare provider will be able to pick up the heartbeat of your baby. This common, painless test uses sound waves to listen to the blood going through your baby's heart, allowing you to listen to the heartbeat. It is without a doubt, one of the sweetest sounds of pregnancy. Your baby's heartbeat will be very fast -- it is usually twice the average rate of an adult, varying between 110 bpm and 170 bpm (beats per minute).

23 weeks today!!

Well- It's week 23 and I don't have much to report on, sorry! It's a good thing that we haven't had anything happen out of the norm-everything is pretty much the same. Leg cramps at night and feeling restless- still gaining weight :) , little girl is still kicking like crazy! <3 Maybe there is one thing... I started getting what I believe are braxton hicks last night- It only happened a few times but i've been told not to worry about it- that its my body preparing for actual labor... It was actually a little painful, there were like little bursts of pain and then they would go away lasting no more than a second or two- No big deal compared to actual labor so i'm not complaining!! :) I called my dr. last friday to schedule child birth classes so I should have dates for that soon! So exciting because everything is moving along so smoothly!! Not much else to report other than I am having a little get together/mini shower with my mother in law, Jill this weekend on Long island so that should be fun!!
Well thats all for now-

Your Pregnancy: Week 23

Swollen from head to toe? Increased blood flow, by now an old friend, is to blame. Consider a trip to the shoe store because loosening ligaments will cause your feet to expand even more in the weeks to come.

Baby's now the size of a papaya!
Baby's little face is fully formed...minus the baby fat, of course. The next task at hand for baby: sprouting two teeny-tiny nipples!

22w2d Finally 5 months!!

So a little bit of news, First off the baby has learned to kick like a soccer player so she is officially beating mommy up, and anything that comes in her way (anything I put on my belly, like my hand or a notepad) :) so I've found myself just feeling her when she kicks and waiting for her to kick all day long haha I went shopping yesterday and kind of got lost. I walked around aimlessly for two hours going down aisles I didn't need to go down even though I had a list and I just felt hopeless cuz all I could think about was the baby!! So I bought the special perfume-less and dye-less detergent so I could start washing her clothes, blankets and such. I just kind of started feeling like I need to get going- is that nesting?? I guess thats what you would consider it. Anyways no news otherwise, just kind of waiting around- cleaning like crazy. I am now weighing in at 147 lbs and still gaining so total weight gain is 21lbs and I'm starting to worry because everyone says NOW is when the baby gains?? So what has this other weight been??? Oh boy... I know I'm supposed to gain a lot but I'm not sure I was prepared to gain THIS much! I guess the reward is much greater!

Well I guess thats it for now.... heres some info about baby and momma and of course my weekly belly pics!
Thanks for reading!

Your Pregnancy: Week 22

Real estate within your belly is getting tight, with growing baby leaving little room for your lungs to...well...breathe. Expect the huffing and puffing to start soon. There's not much room for your belly button, either -- it'll pop out any day now.

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop
